About the Client & Project

I am currently partnering with a leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor to recruit a Mechanical Project Engineer for a landmark rail infrastructure project based in Banbury.

This is a major-scale scheme that offers long-term stability and the opportunity to work on highly complex, technically challenging infrastructure. My client has an exceptional reputation for engineering excellence and a strong, secured pipeline of work across the UK.

The Role

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of major mechanical packages from pre-construction through to testing and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee mechanical installations on-site (HVAC, public health, ventilation, and specialist services).

Coordinate closely with the main contractor, client representatives, and internal design/commercial teams.

Manage sub-contractors, procurement schedules, and variations.

Ensure all engineering works comply with strict quality, safety, and project specifications.

Assist with value engineering and technical problem-solving on-site.
