Do you have managerial / supervisory experience within Plumbing and Heating, Gas, BMS or similar and looking for a role where you can showcase your skills and put you stamp on a growing team, all whilst having the ability to continue your progression into further roles in future?

They have a small estates team of skilled individuals who work together to ensure the electrical systems across the campus are safe, compliant, and well maintained

In this role, you will supervise and support an in-house team responsible for mechanical, plumbing and gas services across the estate. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensure statutory compliance, manage contractors and contribute to ongoing improvements in maintenance systems, operational standards and energy efficiency initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge across mechanical and plumbing systems, previous supervisory experience, and a proactive approach to health & safety, compliance and team leadership.

The Role:

*Supervising and coordinating day-to-day activities of an in-house plumbing and mechanical services team
*Managing planned preventative maintenance and reactive works across a complex estate
*Supporting maintenance and operation of heating, cooling, drainage, ventilation and water systems
*Overseeing contractor performance, quality assurance and compliance standards
*Supporting management of BMS systems and contributing to mechanical project delivery
*Ensuring compliance with water hygiene, gas safety and safe systems of work
*Supporting out-of-hours service delivery through participation in a rota system
*Contributing to sustainability initiatives focused on reducing energy usage and carbon impact
*Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to engineering staff

The Person:

*Experience supervising mechanical or plumbing maintenance teams within commercial, industrial, estates or facilities environments
*Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services, plumbing and gas systems
*Experience managing planned and reactive maintenance activities
*Understanding of water hygiene, gas safety and statutory compliance requirements
*Experience working with contractors and managing quality standards
*Knowledge of BMS systems and mechanical infrastructure maintenance
*Relevant mechanical or plumbing qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
*Gas Safe qualifications desirable
*Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
