Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) - Nights
Salary: £54,000
Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (Night Shifts)
Additional Requirement: 1 Saturday night shift in every 4
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
Role Overview
A multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias is required to support night-shift operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on ensuring machinery reliability, reducing downtime, and providing engineering support to production teams during night operations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on production equipment.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults to restore equipment performance quickly and safely.
Conduct routine inspections, safety checks, and technical adjustments on machinery.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Record maintenance activities and ensure compliance with engineering and site procedures.
Respond effectively to breakdowns, working independently during night shifts.
Collaborate with daytime engineering teams to ensure effective handovers.
Required Skills & Experience
Time-served engineer with electrical bias and multi-skilled capability.
Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or processing environments.
Strong diagnostic skills across electrical systems (motors, sensors, drives, control panels).
Competent in mechanical fault-finding and repair.
Ability to work independently and manage workload during night operations.
Awareness of health & safety standards and safe working practices.
