£28,000 - £30,000 DOE
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities as a Trainee Buyer include:
* Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
* Raise purchase orders and track deliveries
* Maintain procurement records and supplier databases
* Assist supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives
* Support QS and Commercial teams with admin tasks and reporting
* Maintain records of orders, invoices, and supplier info
* Liaise with suppliers, site teams, and internal departments
* Assist with procurement schedules and project requirements
* Attend site visits and supplier meetings as needed
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal Trainee Buyer with be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
* Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Basic commercial and construction industry knowledge preferred
* Full UK driving licence preferred
