Your responsibilities as Butchery Manager
Oversee daily production and retail activities, ensuring consistently high standards
Lead, coach and develop the existing team while supporting training and knowledge sharing
Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships to maintain availability and minimise waste
Maintain food safety, hygiene and quality standards across all areas of the operation
Support retail customers with expert product guidance while helping grow trade accounts
Assist with operational planning, equipment oversight and community-based activities when required
What we’re looking for in a Butchery Manager
Extensive full carcass preparation and meat processing experience across multiple species
Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a similar environment
Strong knowledge of stock management, ordering and inventory control processes
Experience training and developing junior team members or apprentices
Background working within traditional, independent, wholesale or catering supply environments
Working hours: 40–45 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with two days off per week.
