Portfolio Payroll is partnering with a highly respected manufacturing organisation that is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist on a18‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a supportive, people‑focused business where accuracy, collaboration and confidentiality are genuinely valued.

Working as part of a small, close‑knit payroll team you'll take ownership of delivering a smooth, reliable payroll service while ensuring employees receive clear, timely support with their benefits and pay‑related queries.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the full payroll cycle from start to finish.
Maintaining accurate employee data, updating records and processing changes with precision.
Handling pay variations such as leave, absences and adjustments.
Responding to payroll queries in a professional, supportive manner.
Spotting and escalating issues around compliance, data quality or irregularities.
Keeping payroll documentation organised, secure and audit‑ready.
Administering employee benefits, including enrolments, leavers, changes and transfers.
Supporting wider confidential HR and payroll administration when needed.
