Class 2 LGV Driver – Waste & Recycling
Employer: SWIFT Temps Ltd – Driving Recruitment Division
Location: Newton Bar Depot WF2
Pay Rate: £14.82 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 6:45am – 5:25pm (40 hours per week)
About the Role:
SWIFT Temps Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 LGV Driver to join the waste and recycling team supporting the local authority in the Wakefield area. This is an ongoing role, offering consistent work and a structured four-day week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive a refuse collection vehicle on assigned rounds
* Work as part of a team collecting domestic waste and recyclables
* Carry out a variety of physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
* Maintain high safety standards and compliance with operational procedures
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 year of Class 2 (LGV) driving experience
* Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
* Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card
* Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks
* Previous refuse or recycling driving experience is desirable
