Academics are recruiting on behalf of a residential SEN school in Andover which caters for young people aged 11-19 years with a primary diagnosis of autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour. All young people have an EHCP.
They are seeking a dynamic, committed, and creative SEN Teacher to join their dedicated team in September.
As an SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging, adaptable lessons that build confidence, curiosity, and achievement in learners with additional needs across KS3 and KS4.
The successful SEN Teacher will be required to:
Deliver high-quality teaching within Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4.
Support students to achieve qualifications up to GCSE level.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual EHCP outcomes.
Motivate and engage learners through inclusive, creative practice.
Provide meaningful feedback to accelerate progress and build confidence.
Contribute to enrichment and the wider life of the school.
Work collaboratively within a skilled and supportive team.The suitable SEN Teacher must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4.
Strong classroom management and a flexible, responsive teaching style.
A reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for working with young people with SEND.
A collaborative mindset and commitment to whole-school values.
Experience in curriculum development (desirable).
A forward-thinking approach and enthusiasm for shaping provision.
