We are working with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced and driven Planning & Scheduling Team Leader to join their scheduling function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and has a strong background in scheduling and operational coordination.
The Role
As Planning & Scheduling Team Leader, you will oversee day-to-day scheduling operations, ensuring the team delivers an efficient and effective service. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of schedulers while acting as the key point of escalation for operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of schedulers, providing day-to-day guidance and support
Oversee the allocation and coordination of resource across scheduling operations
Monitor team performance against KPIs, identifying areas for improvement
Act as the primary escalation point for complex scheduling queries and conflicts
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the scheduling function
Produce and present regular reports on scheduling performance and capacity
Collaborate with wider operations and management teams to align scheduling with business needs
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team membersWhat We're Looking For
Previous experience in a scheduling, resource planning, or operations coordination role
Proven leadership or supervisory experience, ideally within an operations setting
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Confident working with scheduling systems and data reporting tools
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
A proactive, team-focused mindset with a drive to achieve resultsWhat's on Offer
Salary of £34,000 - £36,500 per annum, depending on experience
28 days holiday plus bank holidays
