September 2026 Start | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Full-Time

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Officer to join a welcoming secondary school in Daventry from September 2026.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people, promoting positive behaviour, and helping students overcome barriers to learning.

The Role

As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting students' emotional wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and personal development. Working closely with the pastoral team, teaching staff, and families, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing pastoral support to students across the school
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
Supporting behaviour management and student engagement
Assisting with attendance monitoring and intervention strategies
Supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
Working alongside safeguarding and inclusion teams where required
Encouraging positive attitudes towards learning and personal developmentThe Ideal Candidate

Has experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, care, or support setting
Is confident, resilient, and approachable
Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Can effectively support students with behavioural, emotional, or additional needs
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain oneWhy Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
