Project Engineer – RC Frame – Wokingham
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our clients team for a reinforced concrete (RC) frame project based in Wokingham. This is a key role within the site team, responsible for overseeing engineering delivery and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and programme performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day site engineering activities
* Carry out and oversee all setting out works for the RC frame
* Prepare and submit RFIs, and review drawings and technical specifications
* Review and coordinate temporary works designs
* Maintain clear communication with the client, attending and contributing to site meetings
* Arrange and manage call-offs for reinforcement and concrete
* Prepare, track, and monitor concrete cube test results
* Implement and uphold quality assurance procedures, including:
* Pre- and post-pour inspections
* Reinforcement checks
* Snagging and final sign-off
* Monitor site progress and produce accurate progress reports
* Work collaboratively with the wider site team, including the Site Foreman
Requirements
* Proven experience working on RC frame projects
* Strong understanding of site engineering, QA processes, and construction workflows
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to manage workload and support junior team members effectively
* SMSTS or SSSTS qualification preferred
