Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in West Drayton to recruit an experienced and passionate PE Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is seeking a resilient, engaging, and compassionate practitioner who can use sport and physical education to inspire, motivate, and positively impact young people's lives.
The RoleAs a PE Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH needs.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes participation, wellbeing, and achievement.
Build strong relationships with students, supporting both their educational and personal development.
Use effective behaviour management strategies to engage and motivate learners.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals to support student outcomes.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote healthy lifestyles and physical wellbeing.The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
Previous experience teaching PE within an SEMH school or alternative provision setting – Essential
A strong understanding of SEMH needs and trauma-informed practice
Excellent behaviour management skills
The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students
A flexible, resilient, and proactive approach to teachingCompliance RequirementsApplicants must hold:

An enhanced Child Workforce DBS
An enhanced Adult Workforce DBS
The right to work in the UK
Relevant teaching qualifications and references covering recent employmentWhat the School Offers
Supportive and experienced leadership team
