Teaching Assistant Interventions.
Are you a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant with experience working with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), particularly in Literacy and Numeracy?
Aura Education are pleased to be working with a mainstream primary school in Sefton, L20 area who are looking to recruit a special needs TA. This role involves working with small groups of children with specific learning needs and you will be using the schools intervention programmes. Some training will be given for the programmes but experience working with children is essential.
The pupils needing support range from Y2 to Y4 and have moderate learning difficulties. Working on specific targets and keeping daily records of progress and next steps is essential and must be fed back to the class teacher daily.
The school is in a one form entry and resides in a lovely rural area. The children have access to Forest School provision so some out door activities may be required. The role requires employment of 32.5 hours per week based on 46 weeks (pro rata). Hours of work: Monday – Friday 08.30am – 3.30pm.
To be considered for this role you will:
* Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Be experienced in supporting children in primary education (or similar experience)
* Have excellent behaviour management skills.
* Be able to commit Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm
* Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get one in process.
* Have an education qualification (preferred)
