Engineering Project Coordinator (Electronics)
Based in Stevenage
Salary up to £45,000 + Bonus + Overtime
You’re working in engineering.
You understand projects.
But you’re not yet owning them.
This is your move.
The Opportunity
This isn’t a support role where you sit on the sidelines.
You’ll be embedded in real engineering projects, working alongside experienced Project Managers, learning how complex defence programmes are delivered, then stepping up to run your own.
You’ll get exposure to:
*
Full engineering project lifecycle
*
Bid and programme delivery
*
Supply chain coordination
*
Real-world project planning (Primavera P6)
This is a genuine pathway into an Engineering Project Manager role.
What You’ll Bring
You don’t need to be the finished article, but you do need the foundations:
*
Degree in Electronics or Engineering
*
Experience in an engineering or technical environment
*
Understanding of electronic product development
*
Exposure to project planning/scheduling/Excel
*
The ability to organise, influence, and keep things moving
Most importantly, you want to grow.
Why This Role Stands Out
*
Clear progression into Project Management
*
Learn directly from experienced PMs
*
Flexible working
*
Hybrid model, typically 1–2 days onsite
*
Strong benefits package including:
*
Bonus
*
Overtime
*
Up to 14% pension
*
Flexi leave (up to 15 days)
Due to security clearance requirements, you must be a British citizen or a dual national with UK citizenship.
The Bottom Line
If you’re an engineer who’s started to move toward project work, or a coordinator ready to step up, this is one of those roles that can shape your career.
Not in five years.
