Looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference every single day?

We're working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Sutton looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Support Specialist to support a pupil with additional needs on a full-time basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and enjoys building positive relationships that help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning and/or behavioural needs.
Supporting the pupil's learning, engagement and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team to deliver personalised support strategies.
Encouraging independence, confidence and positive social interactions.
Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
Supporting the implementation of EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
Helping to create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school, youth work, care, mentoring or similar setting.
Understands a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH or communication and interaction needs.
Is patient, resilient and able to build strong, trusting relationships.
Can remain calm and positive when supporting pupils who may require additional emotional regulation.
Is available to work full-time during school hours.
Holds a relevant qualification in Psychology, Education, Sports Science, Drama, Dance, Child Development or a related field (desirable but not essential).
Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one.
