SEN Teaching Assistant - KS1 & KS2
Location: Orpington
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Orpington on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing school environment.
The Role
Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff to implement individual learning plans.
Support pupils both within the classroom and through small-group or one-to-one interventions.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to support pupils with a variety of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs.
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
