Purchasing Executive
Role Purpose
To support the procurement of materials and services, ensuring goods are purchased cost-effectively, delivered on time, and accurately managed within company systems to support operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Source and procure materials, components, and services from approved suppliers.
* Raise, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
* Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery schedules, resolving issues where required.
* Maintain accurate purchasing, pricing, and supplier data within the ERP system.
* Support stock control activities to ensure material availability whilst minimising excess inventory.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience within a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Effective communication and supplier relationship management skills.
* Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Manufacturing or engineering industry experience would be advantageous
