Operations Manager
Location: Corby – Office Based (8:00am – 5:00pm)
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 + £3,000–£5,000 Quarterly Performance Bonus
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Our client, a successful and well-established manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced and ambitious Operations Manager to join their leadership team.
This role forms part of a planned succession strategy, providing a clear pathway to Board-level progression within the next 2–3 years. Working closely alongside the current Operations Manager, the successful candidate will gain an in-depth understanding of the business before assuming full operational responsibility upon their retirement.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all day-to-day business operations.
* Oversee production, facilities management, purchasing, stock control, and logistics.
* Lead, motivate, and develop operational teams.
* Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure production targets and business objectives are achieved.
* Report directly to the Operations Director and Board.
Requirements
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience within production or operations management.
* Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
* Proven experience managing people and operating within a production/manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of production workflows, planning, and operational efficiency.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Practical mechanical and electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
* Hands-on, proactive, and commercially aware approach.
* Ambitious and motivated to progress into a Director-level position.
