Location: Yarnton, Oxfordshire

Salary: Up to £55,000 p/a

Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm

Job type: permanent

The Role: Assembly Team Leader

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assembly Team Leader to oversee the day‑to‑day activities of our Assembly & Test Technicians. You will ensure that build and test work is delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands‑on leadership role combining people management, operational planning, process ownership and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities of the Assembly Team Leader

Plan and allocate assembly and test work to ensure safe, timely and high‑quality delivery.
Re‑plan and remove blockers as priorities evolve in a fast‑moving development environment.
Own and improve scheduling and resourcing so technicians always have a clear, achievable work pipeline.
Develop, maintain and improve work instructions and SOPs to ensure consistent, robust processes.
Drive continuous improvement and uphold quality and H&S standards with a “right first time” mindset.
Support technicians with build/test issues, escalation and capability development.Essential Experience

Proven experience leading assembly, test or manufacturing technician teams in a fast‑paced development environment.
Hands‑on experience running day‑to‑day operations in lab‑based hardware test environments.
Strong capability in planning and allocating work in a shifting‑priority setting, including capacity planning.
Demonstrated leadership in 5S, Lean or continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Experience creating and maintaining SOPs, work instructions and operational documentation.Benefits
