Dispatch Operative
Full-Time | Permanent | Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4:30pm | Friday: 8am - 3:30pm | Post 6-months: option to move to 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday: 7am - 5:15pm)
Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Dispatch Operative to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working in a structured role focused on quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in ensuring products are inspected, packed, and dispatched to the highest standards.
Key Duties:
Conduct final inspections of finished products, ensuring colour, finish, and overall quality meet company standards.
Accurately pick products from stock for customer orders.
Pack products using sustainable materials while maintaining presentation and protection standards.
Adapt packaging solutions for bespoke and non-standard products.
Prepare shipments and generate courier labels, including FedEx documentation.
Update order statuses and track dispatch activity using internal computer systems.
Follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records.
Work closely with the Dispatch Team Leader to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace in line with 5S principles.
Operate effectively in a high-volume dispatch environment while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience within a dispatch, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is desirable.
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when carrying out visual inspections.
Ability to identify variations in colour, finish, and product quality.
Computer literate and confident using internal systems.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills and a team-focused approach.
Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
