Civils Quantity Surveyor

A leading construction and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Civils Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Scotland. This position offers involvement in a diverse portfolio of works including roads, drainage, groundworks, and residential developments.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring projects are commercially managed from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Managing commercial activities across civil engineering projects.

Preparing cost plans, estimates, valuations, and financial reports.

Administering subcontractor procurement and account management.

Assessing variations, compensation events, and contractual claims.

Monitoring project budgets and forecasting final costs.

Supporting project teams with commercial and contractual advice.

Preparing and negotiating final accounts.

Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation measures.

Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure, or groundworks projects.

Strong knowledge of NEC and other standard forms of contract.

Experience managing subcontractor accounts and project reporting.

Excellent analytical and commercial skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

Full UK driving licence.
