Your new role
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical repairs, maintenance, and installation works across domestic properties.
Your duties will include:
Fault finding on single and three-phase systems
Electrical testing, inspection, and certification
Carrying out electrical installation condition reports
Completing minor works and installation certificates
Installing and replacing electrical systems such as showers, immersion heaters, and heating controls
Undertaking general electrical installation work and upgrades
Managing van stock and ensuring materials are used efficiently
Accurately recording work completed using handheld technology
Identifying and reporting any urgent repairs or health and safety concernsYou will also be expected to deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied properties and collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant electrical qualifications (City & Guilds 2330 and 2382 essential; 2391 desirable or equivalent)
Proven experience in electrical installation and maintenance within domestic environments
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Knowledge of current wiring regulations and industry standards
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Experience using mobile devices or PDAs for job management
A strong commitment to health and safety
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approachYou will also need a full UK driving licence and be willing to participate in an out-of-hours rota.
