Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Investment Accounting Analyst with strong technical expertise in investment accounting, taxation, financial instruments and month-end closing processes.

The role requires deep knowledge of US GAAP, Local GAAP and IFRS, solid understanding of transaction processing and performance impacts, and hands-on exposure to complex investment portfolios.

The position also includes a very strong project dimension, with active and hands-on contribution to a major strategic project, acting as a key expert from the Investment Accounting perspective.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Accounting & Expertise

• Act as a senior Investment Accounting subject matter expert across portfolios.
• Ensure correct application of US GAAP, Local GAAP and IFRS.
• Provide expert judgement on complex accounting treatments impacting valuation and performance.
• Support Accounting, Tax, Operations and Risk stakeholders on accounting-related topics.

Transaction Processing & Financial Instruments

• Ensure robust understanding of investment transaction processing, including LIBOR-related instruments.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of financial instruments (Fixed Income, equities, derivatives, structured products).
• Analyse accounting, valuation and performance impacts of complex instruments and transactions.

Taxation & Lot Accounting

• Apply strong expertise in taxation models impacting investment portfolios.
• Ensure correct tax treatments impacting accounting and performance.
• Act as a reference point on lot-based accounting concepts, including lot stack methodologies.

Month-End Closing & Book Management

• Support month-end close activities, including opening and closing of accounting books.
• Contribute to the application and monitoring of closing and articulation methodologies.
• Assist in resolving complex closing or accounting issues.

Major Project Contribution

• Act as a key contributor to a major strategic project impacting investment accounting and operating models.
• Provide active, hands-on and expert contribution, from design to execution phases.
• Support definition, implementation and stabilization of new accounting frameworks or processes.
• Work closely with project teams, IT, Accounting and external providers.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• Strong background in Investment Accounting within Asset Management, Fund Administration, Custody or Audit.
• Proven expertise with US GAAP, Local GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong exposure to taxation, transaction processing and financial instruments.
• Hands-on experience with lot accounting and month-end closing processes.
