About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team in North London. This role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.

*

Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored interventions.

*

Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

*

Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

*

Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student progress.

Requirements

*

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (school-based or similar setting).

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

*

Ability to remain calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations.

*

A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.

*

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEN training) are desirable but not essential.
