Operational Services Contract Manager

Essex | Hybrid Working (Minimum 3 Days Onsite)

£60-£65 per hour Umbrella

6 Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Operational Services Contract Manager to join a forward thinking Local Authority in Essex on an initial six month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a range of high profile operational and environmental projects, managing procurement activity, contract mobilisation and supplier performance across essential public services.

You will be responsible for delivering and overseeing a portfolio of operational service contracts, ensuring projects are procured compliantly, mobilised successfully and deliver excellent outcomes for residents.

Projects include:

* Waste and recycling related procurements
* Environmental enforcement contracts
* Stray dog and abandoned vehicle services
* Fuel supply arrangements
* Public realm improvement projects
* Wheeled bin rollout programmes
* Park infrastructure and lighting projects
* Grounds and environmental service initiatives

* Lead end to end procurement exercises and contract mobilisation activities
* Manage supplier relationships and contract performance
* Monitor project delivery, budgets, risks and compliance
* Work closely with operational, procurement, legal and finance teams
* Produce reports and updates for senior stakeholders
* Drive service improvements and value for money across contracts

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Experience managing operational service contracts within a Local Authority or public sector environment
* Strong procurement and contract management experience
* Knowledge of environmental services, waste management, public realm, highways, parks or similar operational services
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Understanding of public sector procurement regulations and governance requirements

* £60-£65 per hour Umbrella
* Initial 6 month contract
