SAP ePP/DS Consultant - Lyon + Remote Work - 3 months +

We are looking for a senior consultant available immediately in the Production Planning field, with proven expertise in the following areas:

ePP/DS (Extended Planning & Detailed Scheduling) in an S/4HANA environment

APO-S/4HANA integration (initially)

Good knowledge of IBP-S/4HANA integration (later)

PROJECT CONTEXT The S/4 Go-Live is scheduled for August 3, 2026. Local scheduling is currently managed using ECC and APO-SNP, with the majority of it performed off-system. The switchover to S/4 + ePP/DS is underway, with a transition to IBP planned from January 2027. A risk has been identified regarding the quality of the loaded data and the site's ability to obtain reliable scheduling at Go-Live. Local Key Users (production planners) have already been identified and are involved in the project.

MISSION PHASE 1 - MASTER DATA REVIEW & GAP ANALYSIS (priority)

The first requirement is operational and field-based:

Work closely with local Key Users

Compare the documented ePPDS To Be processes with the actual master data configuration (MRP, PDS, production variants, resources, horizons)

Identify critical gaps and define a realistic and pragmatic associated action plan (pre- and post-Go-Live actions)

Prioritize corrective actions within the planning scope (FG, semi-finished goods, critical raw materials)

The expected level of expertise includes: reading and analysing SAP ECC/APO data (CM25, MD04, CO24, APO-SNP planning books), knowledge of PPG concepts, PDS, production variants, and ePPDS heuristics.

MISSION PHASE 2 - S/4 - IBP INTEGRATION (outlook)

In a second phase, depending on the results of Phase 1 and the progress of the program, we plan to extend the collaboration on the S/4-IBP integration component, specifically regarding:

The transfer of IBP planned orders to ePPDS

The consistency of time horizons and flows between global planning (IBP) and local planning (ePPDS)

Serving as the local Key User for the successful implementation of the solution

REQUIRED PROFILE

Minimum 5 years of experience on PP/DS or ePPDS projects in an industrial environment

Experience on at least one S/4HANA project in production (pharmaceutical or medical device industry preferred)

Knowledge of the APO-SNP and/or IBP environment

Ability to work directly with field Key Users in French (the site is French-speaking). Proficiency in English for working with project teams.

Autonomy, meticulousness regarding master data, functional approach, and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.

DETAILS

Desired start date: as soon as possible, ideally before the end of June 2026

Format: partial on-site work near Lyon + remote work.

Almost 100% on-site work to launch the project, then adjustable in agreement with the client.

Duration of Phase 1: approximately 2 to 3 months

Preference will be given to someone who can commit to the end of January 2027. Bilingual French/English environment.
