We are looking for a Civil Engineering Technician to join our clients established Civil Engineering team in London.
The ideal Technician should have expertise in areas such as utilities, drainage design and modelling, pavement and highway detailing, civil and structural works, water and wastewater treatment, flood risk and coastal management, site development and external works. This consultancies clients are diverse, including, architects, water companies, Energy suppliers, local authorities, developers, design-and-build contractors, government agencies, and transport system operators.

The role
Preparing technical deliverables for civil engineering projects including drawings, models, presentations as well as short written reports
Supporting the delivery of projects which may including attending client meetings, producing bid documents and general business development activities
Contributing to a culture of technical excellence and the development of technical skills within the wider team through planning and delivery of initiatives and training
Embracing our Culture, Equity and Inclusion strategy and vision, both through your own behaviour and influencing others
What you need to succeed
To have achieved or be working towards a relevant professional qualification (such as EngTech MICE or equivalent)
Strong capability in Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D as an essential pre-requisite. Desirable experience of other relevant design tools which may include Revit, Navisworks, Microdrainage and GIS.
Technical experience in one or more areas relevant to civil engineering (earthworks, roads and streets, public realm, utilities, flood risk and drainage)
Excellent communication skills, and an ability to interact collaboratively with colleagues and other members of professional teams with confidence
An ability to manage a complex and varied workload often involving multiple concurrent projects
A track record of delivering projects on time and within budget and to a high quality
An ability to motivate and mentor junior members of staff
An ability to focus on design excellence and personal motivation to strive continuous quality improvement
