About the Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced School Safeguarding Officer to join a well-established school in Reading. You will play a key role in supporting the welfare and safeguarding of pupils, working closely with the DSL and wider school team.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a first point of contact for safeguarding concerns
Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Maintain accurate safeguarding and welfare records
Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies
Assist with attendance and behaviour monitoringAbout You
Previous safeguarding experience within a school or similar setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)Why Apply?
