HSEQ Manager – Retford - £48,000 - £50,000

We are working with a leading organisation seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental performance across a multi-site manufacturing operation with a keen focus on Quality. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping strategy, driving compliance, and embedding a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the business.
You will report into the Managing Director and play a key role in operational decision-making and business performance. This will have multi-site responsibility with regular travel required within a manufacturing facility that operates 24/7.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and specifications
Ensure customer and regulatory requirements are consistently met
Define and manage supplier quality requirements
Ensure compliance with relevant ISO and industry standards
Implement and maintain quality systems, controls, and documentation
Monitor performance using data analysis and statistical reporting
Set and deliver quality objectives aligned to operational strategy
Lead QC and testing teams, including training and performance management
Manage laboratory operations and staff
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and technical teams to ensure continuity
Lead root cause analysis of non-conformances and process issues
Drive corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement
Manage performance reviews, coaching, and team development
Maintain integrated HSE systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
Ensure legal, regulatory, and company compliance
Lead risk assessments and incident investigations
Act as key contact for auditors, regulators, and external bodies
Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives
Promote a strong safety and quality culture across the organisation
Deliver HSEQ training and competence development
Support wider operational requirements as needed
About You:

We are looking for a credible HSEQ leader with a proven track record of delivering measurable improvement in manufacturing or engineering environments

Experience in a senior HSEQ/Quality/H&S role
Strong knowledge of ISO systems and audit leadership
Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability (root cause analysis, SPC preferred)
Confident communicator with the ability to challenge and influence at all levels
Desirable:

Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or H&S discipline
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
Six Sigma Black Belt or continuous improvement experience
