Talent-UK are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join their client in the Wakefield area. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring customer expectations are met while maintaining profitability, quality standards, and project timelines.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of engineering projects, coordinating internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to deliver successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously from planning through to completion.
Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and resource plans.
Coordinate activities across design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation teams.
Monitor project costs, profitability, and cash flow performance.
Produce project reports, forecasts, and progress updates for senior management.
Liaise directly with customers to provide updates and manage expectations.
Manage subcontractors and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure quality standards, documentation, and customer requirements are achieved.
Attend customer meetings and site visits when required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous Project Manager experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction, industrial, or technical environments.
Prince2 qualification.
Engineering qualification (Level 3, 4, 5, or 6).
Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project resources.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Knowledge of ERP systems.
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Desirable Requirements
NEC 3 or NEC 4 qualification or experience.
Experience within a heavy engineering environment.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Working Pattern:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)
Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
