We are currently recruiting for a skilled Panel Wirer to join a leading manufacturing business known for delivering high-quality electrical control systems across multiple industries. As a Panel Wirer, you will be responsible for the assembly and wiring of control panels and electrical systems to precise engineering specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring all products meet quality, safety, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Wiring and assembly of electrical control panels and cabinets
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and engineering drawings (essential)
• Installing components such as relays, circuit breakers, PLCs, and terminal blocks
• Point-to-point wiring and cable routing to a high standard
• Conducting basic testing and fault finding
• Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and health & safety regulations
• Working collaboratively with engineers and production teams
Skills and Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Panel Wirer, Electrical Assembler, or similar role
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics (essential)
• Experience with control panel wiring and assembly
• Good understanding of electrical components and systems
• High attention to detail and quality of work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds)
• Experience working within a manufacturing or automation environment
