Location: Edinburgh
Pay: £44,000 to £45,000
Hours: 37.5 Hour Week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established and highly respected public transport engineering team in Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a modern fleet of buses and coaches within a professional workshop environment offering long-term stability, strong earning potential and ongoing training.

The Role of the HGV Technician / PSV Technician

Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
MOT preparation and vehicle safety checks
Brake, suspension, steering and engine repairs
Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently
Completing all job cards and workshop paperwork accurately
Ensuring all work is completed in line with DVSA standards
Supporting fleet availability and operational reliability
What We’re Looking for from the HGV Technician / PSV Technician

Previous experience as an HGV Technician, PSV Technician or LGV Technician
NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience working on buses, coaches or commercial vehicles preferred
A positive attitude and strong team ethic
