Thorn Baker have the exciting opportunity to recruit for a general operative on a permanent basis for a well know manufacturing business in the NG8 area of Nottingham!

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will support day-to-day operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring machinery is operated safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Pay & Benefits

Starting Salary of £12.71 per hour with a pay increase in June
Stable Day shift working Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor production machinery in line with company procedures
Assist with the setup, adjustment, and basic maintenance of equipment
Carry out routine quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
Follow production schedules and meet output targets
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Identify and report faults, defects, or safety concerns to supervisors
Support loading and unloading of materials and finished goods
Work collaboratively with team members and other departments
Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred but not essential)
Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
Good attention to detail and quality standards
Happy to work in an environment that can get dirty due to the nature of the products being manufactured.
