About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with PMLD and SLD, helping them engage in learning and develop independence. Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team, you will provide tailored support to help pupils reach their full potential.
Job Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant
Support pupils with PMLD and SLD in the classroom
Assist with sensory-based learning activities
Support communication using tools such as PECS and Makaton
Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement
Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
