About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial management of projects from pre-construction to final account
* Develop and manage cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
* Administer contracts in line with JCT, NEC, and other industry standards
* Manage procurement activities including tendering, analysis, and subcontract awards
* Negotiate subcontract agreements and final accounts
* Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment
* Manage variations, claims, and change control processes
* Produce and review monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
* Provide commercial advice to project teams and senior stakeholders
* Lead commercial meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
* Ensure accurate and timely commercial reporting
* Mentor and support the development of junior commercial staff
* Contribute to tendering, bid submissions, and pre-construction activities
What We’re Looking For
* 8–10+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying within the UK construction industry
* Minimum 3 years operating at Senior QS level (or equivalent)
* Proven track record delivering medium to large construction projects
* Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
* Experience in subcontract procurement, contract management, and final accounts
* Strong understanding of risk management and commercial strategy
* Experience in a design & build environment
Qualifications
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
* MRICS / MCIOB (or working towards)
* Valid CSCS card
* Ongoing CPD and professional development
