Behaviour Mentor – Primary School
Location: Lambeth, SW2

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth (SW2) is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral team. This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting children with behavioural and emotional needs and making a positive impact across the school environment.
The Role As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role within the school’s pastoral and behaviour support team, working across the school to promote positive behaviour and support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responding to behaviour incidents across the school, supporting pupils in real-time
Delivering targeted behaviour interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges
Working collaboratively with teachers, SLT, and pastoral staff to implement consistent behaviour strategies
Helping to create a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment for all pupilsThe Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children in a school or youth setting, ideally within behaviour or pastoral roles
Confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEMH needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
Calm, resilient, and able to respond effectively in high-pressure situations
