Our valued client are looking for a Mower Maintenance Technician for this role you be responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining lawn mowers and other landscaping equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role involves routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on lawn mowers, including oil changes, blade sharpening, filter replacement, and lubrication.
Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or safety concerns.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and engine-related problems.
Replace defective parts such as belts, spark plugs, blades, and batteries.
Maintain maintenance records and service logs.
Clean and prepare equipment for operation and storage.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
Assist operators by providing basic equipment care instructions.
Maintain an organized and safe workshop environment.Qualifications:
Experience with lawn mower maintenance, small engine repair, or similar mechanical work preferred.
Knowledge of petrol and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and power tools.
Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.Skills:
Mechanical aptitude
Troubleshooting and repair
Time management
Record keeping
Safety awareness
Good communication skillsWorking Conditions:
Combination of workshop and outdoor work.
Exposure to noise, grease, fuel, and varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift and move equipment as required.Compensation & Hours:
£18 per hour
3 days per week
Flexible working days may be available by agreement.This position is ideal for a reliable individual with mechanical experience who enjoys maintaining equipment and ensuring it remains in excellent working condition.
