We’re looking for a skilled HVAC Project Engineer to join a growing team delivering ventilation and ducting projects across commercial retail environments. This role blends technical design, on-site engineering, and hands-on project management — ideal for someone who enjoys seeing their work move from concept to installation.

You’ll be responsible for conducting detailed site surveys, producing accurate CAD designs, and managing projects through to completion, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and installed to the highest standard.

This would suit someone driven who would be interested in developing into a senior role in the near future.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out site surveys to assess existing HVAC infrastructure, spatial constraints, and installation requirements.

* Produce CAD drawings for ventilation, ducting, and air-handling systems in line with project specifications and industry standards.

* Develop technical solutions and system layouts that meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

* Manage HVAC projects from initial design through to installation and handover.

* Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

* Prepare project documentation including RAMS, technical reports, and installation packs.

* Monitor progress, quality, and compliance on-site, resolving issues proactively.

* Ensure all work aligns with relevant building regulations, health & safety standards, and client expectations.

* Support cost estimation, material selection, and procurement activities.

* Strong CAD capability (AutoCAD or similar) with the ability to produce accurate ducting and ventilation layouts.

* Solid understanding of HVAC principles, airflow, duct sizing, and system performance.

* Experience working in commercial retail environments is highly desirable.

* Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

* Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

What’s on Offer

* Competitive salary and benefits package.

* Opportunity to work on high‑profile retail projects across the UK.

* Professional development and support with further training or qualifications.

* A role where your technical input genuinely shapes project outcomes
