Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £49,000
Shifts: This is a shift based role working Mornings (06:00-13:00), Afters (13:00-20:00) and Nights (20:00-06:00) on 1 week per shift rotation.
Benefits: 31 days holiday, up to 8% pension, ongoing training & development
We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a small, skilled team supporting a rolling mill and downstream equipment. You'll carry out mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, fault-finding on hydraulic systems, and workshop rebuilds of gearboxes, shears, spindles, and pumps.
Requirements:
Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 equivalent
Industrial mechanical maintenance experience
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Able to read engineering drawings and work safely at heightsResponsibilities include:
Overhaul and maintain mechanical equipment
Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
Assist in production changeovers and report shift activities
