Role Overview

This role involves packing various containers filled with chemicals into boxes. With experience and training, you will move on to filling chemical containers. The goal is to complete all relevant training within 12 months to transition into a Manufacturing Technician II role. Role and work-time flexibility are key, and time is of the essence.

Key Responsibilities

Packing & Filling: Follow works orders to pack and fill multiple styles/sizes of chemical containers using manual and automatic equipment (filling machines, labelers).

Quality & Measurements: Use weighing equipment to check raw materials for accuracy. Verify that batch and chemical code numbers match labels and product containers. Maintain quality records and carry out routine inspection checks.

Logistics & Warehousing: Palletize, strap, or stretch-wrap completed packs for safe transfer to the warehouse.

Safety & EHS: Follow strict safety guidelines, carry out daily checks, and ensure compliance with manual handling, COSHH, and waste handling protocols. Wear all required PPE and report any unsafe incidents.

Continuous Improvement: Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain 5S standards and actively participate in Kaizen and Total Productive Maintenance events.

Requirements & Skills

Experience: Years of experience are not essential for the role.

Core Skills: 1. Must be fit, healthy, reliable, and motivated. 2. Works safely and adheres to guidelines. 3. Works well within a team environment.

Basic Abilities: Strong reading and writing skills, basic computer transaction skills, and the ability to closely follow procedures and work instructions.
