Senior Financial Analyst – Simplified Job Description
6 month contract - temp to perm role
Purpose of the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business partnering support to help drive business performance and informed decision-making. The role works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve sales, profitability, cost management, cash flow, and overall business results.
Key Responsibilities
The role acts as a trusted finance partner to the UK & Ireland business, providing financial insights, performance analysis, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions. It is responsible for financial planning and reporting activities, including budgets, forecasts, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, rebates, commissions, and other key financial processes. The position also manages large and complex datasets, develops reporting tools and solutions, supports financial systems and process improvements, and ensures compliance with company policies, controls, and audit requirements. In addition, the role takes ownership of customer rebate and commission processes, supports territory and regional planning, collaborates with stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc business analysis.
Skills & Experience
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is preferred, together with significant experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis.
* Experience in a fast-paced, global commercial environment, particularly within healthcare or medical technology, is advantageous. Strong analytical and systems skills are required, including experience working with large datasets and financial systems such as SAP.
* The successful candidate will be an effective business partner with strong communication, influencing, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills, and will thrive in a collaborative team environment
