£35,000 - £37,000
Role Overview
Seeking a proactive Health & Safety Controller to manage and improve health, safety, and wellbeing systems across manufacturing sites. You'll ensure legal compliance, reduce risk, and promote a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and UK regulations
Develop and implement H&S policies and safe systems of work
Conduct and review risk assessments across sites
Carry out safety inspections and address hazards
Promote a strong safety culture and deliver inductions
Investigate incidents and identify root causes
Manage PPE, training, and competency requirements
Oversee emergency procedures, including fire safetyRequirements
Essential:
NEBOSH General Certificate
Experience in manufacturing/engineering environments
Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation
Experience with audits, risk assessments, and investigations
Excellent communication skillsDesirable:
NEBOSH Diploma
ISO 45001 auditing experience
IOSH membership
