Free CPD and constant support with interviewingEmpowering Learning are currently working with a vibrant primary school in Waltham Forest who are looking for a teaching assistant to work in a KS1 class. This role will be starting in September 2026 on a full-time basis, with the view of continuing into the next academic year.

You will be providing a wide range of support to both teachers and students, including tasks such as preparing materials, assisting with lesson planning, and managing classroom behaviour. You will also be required at times to support individual, and group learning out of the classroom and provide emotional support when needed.

You will need to be patient, empathic and be able to adapt to situations. You will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

As a teaching assistant for this role, you will have the following:

Experience supporting children within a school setting
Confident working 1:1 and with small groups of children
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
