Location: Manchester
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Company Car
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Operations Manager to join a growing business in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional to take ownership of contract performance, pricing, reporting, forecasting, and commercial strategy while working closely with senior leadership.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving profitability, improving commercial processes, managing risk, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial operations across contracts, quotations, pricing, and reporting.
Drive profitability through effective margin management and cost control.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
Review tenders, quotations, and customer requirements to ensure commercially sound proposals.
Monitor contract performance, compliance, and revenue recovery.
Produce commercial reports and performance analysis for senior management.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities for improvement and growth.
Work collaboratively with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
Lead and develop team members while promoting a high-performance culture.
Requirements
Previous experience in a commercial, operational, engineering, manufacturing, facilities management, or service-led environment.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, forecasting, budgeting, and contract management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial/ERP systems.
Full UK Driving Licence.
