Job Title: Production Planner / Works Co-ordinator

Salary: 45-60K depending on skills and experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, Full Time 7.30am-4.30pm
Contract: Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner / Works Co-ordinator to join our busy manufacturing operation. This is a key role within the business, responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing customer expectations, and ensuring the smooth flow of work through the factory.

The successful candidate will come from a fast-paced, reactive manufacturing environment and will be highly organised, resilient, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate production schedules to ensure customer delivery requirements are met

Manage and maintain the ERP system, ensuring all production data is accurate and up to date

Liaise with customers regarding order progress, lead times, and delivery expectations

Coordinate workloads across departments to maximise efficiency and productivity

Monitor production capacity and proactively address potential bottlenecks

Manage and prioritise incoming emails, customer requests, and daily production demands

Produce and maintain reports using Excel and ERP systems

Work closely with production, purchasing, sales, and management teams

Ensure all works orders, schedules, and documentation are accurate and completed on time

React quickly and effectively to changing customer requirements and production demands

Essential Requirements

Previous experience within a Production Planner, Works Co-ordinator, Manufacturing Planner, or similar role

Strong experience working within a reactive manufacturing environment

Full ERP system management experience

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy

Resilient and able to work effectively under pressure

Reliable, professional, and dependable
