About the role

As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading two houses who provide support to people with a range of low to high support needs.

Duties will include:

- Actively lead the team’s development by actively coaching and training colleagues in person-centred support practices and approaches.
- Effectively manage risks of the people we support through ensuring team members understand what is important to the individual(s), involving their families, wherever possible, and ensuring decisions are accurately recorded.
- Lead and manage the team to support personalised rota planning (inclusive of day, night and overnight activity), ensuring shifts are proactively designed to maximise opportunities for people in response to their needs, interests and goals.
- Manage overall key work with individual(s) developing their support plan through the referral, assessment and review stages of person-centred planning, understanding their lifestyle choices, circles of support, what is important to and for them, and supporting them to have more choice and control in their life.
- Ensure that all the key quality indicators and safety measures are met, audits are carried out as required, resources are managed efficiently, and concerns are followed up swiftly.
- Ensure high quality standards and compliance with all CQC regulations, organisation policies and specific agreed ways of working in the service, including Right Support, Right Care, and Right Culture guidance.

About you

To be a Team Manager, the following are essential:

- Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Track record of enabling choice and control to be a reality for people with learning disabilities.
- Experience of leading teams to embed person centred working.
- Understand the challenges that are likely to be faced by many people with disabilities.
