Hours: Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join a supported living service supporting young people aged 16–21, including care leavers and individuals transitioning towards independent adulthood.

This role involves providing practical, emotional, and person-centred support to help young people build confidence, develop life skills, and successfully move towards independent living within a supported accommodation environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide day-to-day support to young people within supported accommodation and household settings.

* Support individuals to develop independent living skills, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and managing daily responsibilities.

* Deliver emotional support and promote wellbeing, confidence, and resilience.

* Support young people to access education, employment, training, and job application opportunities.

* Assist with support planning, risk assessments, goal setting, and progress monitoring.

* Encourage independence, personal development, and positive outcomes.

* Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and company procedures.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to deliver high-quality support.

Requirements

* Previous experience within support work, care, youth work, supported living, leaving care, or social care settings is desirable.

* A caring, reliable, and professional approach.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

* Understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and person-centred support.

* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends where required.
