Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Salary: £15.00 to 17.50 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Pertemps Wolverhampton are currently recruiting on behalf of our valued client for a Stores Team Leader to join their busy warehouse and logistics operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional with strong leadership skills to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the stores department, ensuring stock accuracy, operational efficiency, and high standards of performance.

The Role
As a Stores Team Leader, you will oversee the daily activities within the stores function, leading a team to ensure goods are received, stored, and issued accurately and efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining stock integrity, supporting operational targets, and driving continuous improvement within the department.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the stores team to achieve daily operational objectives.
Allocate workloads and monitor team performance.
Ensure goods are received, checked, stored, and issued accurately.
Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
Ensure all warehouse and stores processes are followed correctly.
Liaise with internal departments to support production and customer requirements.
Train, mentor, and develop team members, promoting best practices and high standards.
Monitor health and safety compliance within the stores area.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Produce and maintain accurate records and reports.
Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in a Stores Team Leader, Warehouse Team Leader, or similar supervisory role.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and inventory management.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Good Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
