We are looking to speak to an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team delivering major civils and infrastructure projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS with a strong background in heavy civils, infrastructure, and complex project delivery to play a key role on high-value schemes.
Working alongside operational and commercial leadership, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring strong financial performance, contractual compliance, and effective stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial management of major civils and infrastructure projects
* Prepare, manage, and report project budgets and forecasts
* Administer NEC contracts and manage contractual obligations
* Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and account administration
* Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities
* Prepare and agree variations, compensation events, and final accounts
* Produce accurate cost/value reconciliations and monthly commercial reports
* Work closely with project delivery teams to maximise project performance
* Support and mentor junior commercial staff where required
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civils and infrastructure
* Strong background delivering on civils projects
* Strong understanding and practical experience of NEC contracts
* Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams within fast-paced project environments
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Membership of RICS or working towards chartership is advantageous
Salary is upto £65,000 + package
