Are you an experienced FDM Technician looking to join a growing additive manufacturing business at the forefront of UK manufacturing?

Our client, an award-winning additive manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled FDM Technician to join its production team.This is an opportunity to work with industrial FDM systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement are key.

The Role:

As an FDM Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of industrial FDM equipment, ensuring customer parts are manufactured to specification, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the Head of FDM and wider production team, you will play a key role in maintaining machine performance, managing production workflows, and supporting ongoing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up, operate, and monitor industrial FDM machines.

* Manage print queues and prioritise production schedules to meet customer deadlines.

* Carry out post-processing, finishing, and inspection of printed components.

* Perform in-process quality checks against engineering specifications.

* Conduct routine machine maintenance and basic fault-finding activities.

* Accurately record production data, scrap rates, and reprint activity.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

Experience Required:

* Previous experience operating industrial FDM printers within a manufacturing or production environment.

* Strong understanding of FDM printing processes, machine operation, and troubleshooting techniques.

* Experience working with engineering-grade materials such as Nylon, PETG, Polycarbonate (PC), TPU, and composite-filled polymers.

* Familiarity with slicer software such as Eiger, Simplify3D, PrusaSlicer, or similar.

* High attention to detail with a quality-focused approach to manufacturing.

* Well organised, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
